Data controller

What we collect

• Account: e-mail address, hashed password, display name, sign-up timestamp.
• Billing: billing address, tax ID (if business), invoice history.
• Usage: server-side logs of API calls, deployment events, resource usage (CPU/RAM/storage). No third-party trackers.
• OAuth: if you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your e-mail and display name from the provider.
• Cookies: only the session cookie required for authentication. No marketing cookies without consent.

Purpose & legal basis

• Contract performance (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): operating the service, billing.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): invoice retention (Hungarian law: 8 years).
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): security logs, fraud prevention.

Sub-processors

• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, CDN, DDoS protection (USA, EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
• Resend — transactional e-mail (verification, password reset).
• Stripe — payment processing for paid plans (when applicable).

Retention

Account data: until you delete your account (irreversible). Invoices: 8 years (Hungarian Accounting Act). Server logs: 90 days, then purged.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing at any time. Send your request to [email protected]. You may also file a complaint with the Hungarian Data Protection Authority (NAIH — naih.hu).

User-built applications (data controller split)

When you build forms, ticket systems, contact stores or applications on PromNET that collect personal data of third parties (your visitors / customers), you are the data controller for that data and PromNET is your processor.
